DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW SECTION 1
The RPC-210 is a small embedded controller
programmable in BASIC, C or assembly. This version
includes a BASIC language, RPBA SIC-52. This
program is a variation of the original INTEL BASIC-52.
Programming is usually done on a P C with a serial por t.
Additional hardware features include:
! On card Flash E PRO M allow s progr am updates in
the field without removing any parts.
! LCD character port with contrast adjustment. A
keypad may also be connected.
! Thirty + digital I/O lines
! Two analog outputs
! Eight channel, 12 bit resolution A-D converter
! Hardware counter/quadrature encoder
! Real time clock with interrupts
! Low power modes and wide input voltages
The RPC-210 uses an Analog Devices ADUC812 CPU
operating at 11.092 MHz. This CPU is software
compatible with the Intel 8051 ser ies of CPU s.
The RPC-210 is available with RPBASIC as described
below.

MANUAL ORGANIZATION
This manual, along with the application disk, provides
information to write BASIC code and download it to the
card.
Each chapter has one or more ready-to-run program,
showing how to use a feature. Writing your program
should be a simple matter of combining parts of
programs into your own. The RPC-210 programming
disk has source code for most exam ples. Sample
programs run stand alone, meaning there is some
measur ement and display going on or an output.
This manual assumes you are familiar with BASIC
programm ing language . If yo u are not experienced with
BASIC, you may want to refer to books and training
program s available through many colleges.
ADUC-812 INFORMATION
There are two PDF files on the application disk which
have detailed information about the ADUC-812 CPU.
These files are viewed using a PDF reader such as
Adobe Acrobat, version 2.1 or 3 or later.
File Description
ADUC812_0.PDF Data sheet for CPU
ER812E0.PDF Errata sheet for CPU

be directed to the main page for this part.
RTC INFORMATION
The real time clock file is 1689-93.PDF and is read
using a PDF reader.
